Nevell Harper Jr.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to stop by and give my page read.  As you know, I am the second Vice President of the Postal Police Officers Association.

I live in New York City, born and raised and I am also the Manhattan Regional Representative. My involvement with the PPOA started in 2005  as either a member or union representative in some capacity. I was approached by a former  & current PPOA union delegate " Pete Nieves, " and  Stacy Condon about becoming a delegate and I am glad I did.

Before my involvement with the PPOA, I was a union representative for the American Postal Workers Union for 14 years.

The positions I held as an APWU delegate ranged from:

 Shop steward,

Chief Stewart.

Sector Aid.

I also served on the contract committee for APWU New York Metro.  I was an advisor and confidant to current APWU New York Metro Local President Jonathan Smith.

I completed the grievance training, FMLA training EEO training offered by APWU.

As an APWU union delegate, I handled the first successful redress case in the country. Myself representing APWU and Nancy Green representing the agency. My commitment to ensuring the rights of others has never been questioned.

I attended New York Community College "NYCC" in Brooklyn. I have a beautiful daughter named Janell, and I am an over protective Dad hahaha.

I've always given 110% to this union and its members once I'm involved. What I find most rewarding is that I have the respect of the people whom I represent. The same dedication and commitment I pledged to those locally, I pledge nationally.

Respectfully

2nd Vice President
