A letter from our President

Fellow PPO's, we are all passionate about our support for the Postal Inspection Service's crucial mission. Accordingly, PPOs "support and protect the U.S. Postal Service and its employees, infrastructure, and customers; enforce the laws that defend the nation's mail system from illegal or dangerous use; and ensure public trust in the mail."

Sadly, PPOs carry out their mission; underpaid, short-staffed, under stress, and all too often in the environment where regressive managerial decisions undermine our work and service to the American public.

To overcome, we must unite. Indeed, the mission of the Postal Police Officers Association (PPOA) is contained within our Constitution: "We shall: unite, represent, defend, and promote the interests of all of our members."

When PPOs unite—we win. Without unity—we lose. And the PPOA wouldn't be successful without the unity of our membership. It really is as simple as that.

Postal Police Officers have earned the right to be justly compensated for their service and hard work. Our economic lot should constantly be improving, not falling further and further behind those employees we are sworn to protect. We have earned the right to be provided a safe workplace, free of harassment and discrimination, and, after concluding our careers, to enjoy a secure and dignified retirement. This is the Union's goal, and we will do everything we can to achieve it.

I offer my most heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all our members who stand united. And so the fight continues...

In union solidarity,
Frank Albergo
